Argumentation is one of the main research areas in Artificial Intelligence for modeling reasoning, decision making, and interaction in contexts involving incomplete or conflicting information. Its formal models provide mechanisms for explaining conclusions, supporting transparent AI systems, and analysing dialogues among agents.
The workshop aims to bring together researchers working on computational argumentation and related fields, encouraging discussion between different communities and promoting collaborations across disciplines. It focuses on both theoretical advances and practical applications of argumentation in modern AI systems.
Topics of Interest
- Abstract and structured argumentation
- Argumentation semantics and solvers
- Explainable and trustworthy AI
- Natural language processing and argument mining
- Multi-agent systems and dialogue
- Applications in law, healthcare, and social media
The workshop is co-located with the 24th International Conference of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA 2026) and aims to strengthen the Italian research community working on argumentation, non-monotonic reasoning, logic programming, and related areas.
The workshop proceedings are planned to be published through CEUR-WS. Web page is here.
