ARTECH 2023 – Digital Creation Processes is the 11th International Conference on Digital and Interactive Arts, hosted in the city of Faro, Portugal, from the 28th to the 30th of November 2023. The goal of the conference is to promote interest in current digital creation processes, digital art and culture and their intersection with science and technology, as an important field of research, but also as a common space for the discussion and exchange of new knowledge and innovative experiences. To this end, we cordially invite scholars, teachers, researchers, artists, digital technologies professionals, and others who are working within the broadly defined areas of digital arts, culture and research to join us.
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit papers from all areas related to digital art, but also digital art installations, interactive or multimedia artworks, to be reviewed by the international committee. Both research and applications papers are of relevance in ARTECH 2023. Contributions can be in the form of full papers, short papers and proposals for posters and art installations/artworks, also as short papers. Authors are invited to submit:
• A full paper, 6 to 10 pages for oral presentation;
• A short paper, 2 to 4 pages, for posters, or with the conceptual and technical information concerning digital art installations, interactive or multimedia artworks proposals. For artwork submissions please provide detailed information about the technical/equipment/exhibition space specific requirements needed for artwork display. Add extra pages with detailed schemes and images, if needed.
The Submission of a paper implies the intention of at least one of the authors to register and attend the conference in order to perform a spoken presentation. Papers that are accepted and presented at the symposium by one of the authors will appear in the conference proceedings. Artworks accepted for exhibition will be published in the conference proceedings provided the authors submit an appropriate short-paper description of each artwork.
Template
Submissions must scrupulously follow the ACM guidelines and template.
Only MS Word files will be allowed, no Latex submissions.

Authors must provide a classification for their papers using ACM Computing Classification System (CCS). The classification system is available at http://dl.acm.org/ccs/ccs.cfm. You should examine the CCS thoroughly, but we recommend looking particularly inside the following categories:
- Information systems -> Information systems applications
- Information systems -> Multimedia information systems
- Human-centered computing
- Applied computing -> Arts and humanities
Technical questions regarding the template can be directed at acmtexsupport(at)aptaracorp.com.
