Analytics is undoubtedly the most significant tool every business has today to improve efficiencies and optimize performance. Cognitive analytics combine standard analytics techniques with Artificial Intelligence (AI), and essentially Machine Learning (ML), characteristics for advanced analytics results. As AI continues to develop, the way we use analytics also continues to grow and change. And while AI-based prescriptive and cognitive analytics have grown in popularity in recent years, we have yet to see them deliver on their true promise. So far, the full potential of cognitive analytics using AI approaches and tools has only been investigated from a theoretical and conceptual perspective. There is, therefore, untapped potential to utilize Reinforcement Learning (RL) to discover more trends and produce actionable recommendations based on those trends. Unlike traditional Machine Learning models, RL does not require labelled datasets. RL makes real-life decisions based on a reward system – mimicking the human behaviour to the closest. Despite these specific breakthroughs, the development and deployment of RL algorithms for real-world applications are limited and are not in constant circulation in our daily lives. With the tenacious and committed researchers constantly digging deep into the field of RL, we’ll surely break through all the challenges and scale gracefully in the dimensionality of problems beyond these domains and revolutionize the Artificial Intelligence sphere.
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
