The Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society (CMBES) and the Association des physiciens et ingénieurs biomédicaux du Québec (APIBQ) are proud to announce the Joint Conference in Montreal, QC at the Hôtel Bonaventure from Monday December 7th to Wedensday December 10th, 2026. The main objective of CMBEC48/APIBQ2026 is to improve communication and encourage collaboration among all healthcare professionals through the presentation and discussion of new research and current challenges.

Please note the following:

1. All papers and abstracts will be peer-reviewed. Corresponding authors must be willing to review at least two other papers/abstracts (or designate another in their place).
2. We are using an online submission system, which will aid us in organizing, reviewing, and publishing accepted manuscriptes.
3. All submissions are due by August 1, 2026.
4. CMBEC48/APIBQ2026 will be held at the Hôtel Bonaventure in the beautiful downtown Montreal.
5. Authors of accepted submissions much register by October 1, 2026 to confirm their participation.

Paper Submission Process

Authors are invited to submit a 1-page abstract or 2-4 page paper in either English or French. The submission deadline is August 1, 2026 for the Abstracts or Papers. Abstracts and Papers will be subject to a critical review process by the Academic Committee. Notification of abstract or paper acceptance will be sent by September 20, 2026. Presentation of abstracts or papers will be in podium or poster sessions and the Program Committee reserves the right to decide on the medium to be used for each accepted paper. Presentation and poster guidelines will be provided with notification of acceptance. Whether presented in a podium or poster session, submissions will be judged equally in the Outstanding Research and the Student Paper Competitions. All accepted papers will be published in online proceedings that are indexed at https://proceedings.cmbes.ca/.
