EduRobotX 2026 Workshop DescriptionEduRobotX 2026 Workshop Description
It is with great pleasure to announce that our 4th International Workshop of the EATEL Special Interest Group (SIG) regarding EduRobotX 2026, entitled: “Educational robots and robotics at the intersection of AI: Designing, Learning, and Teaching in Intelligent Embodied Environments”, got accepted for ECTEL-conference, Valencia, Spain! The full-day workshop will be held on one of the pre-conference days between 14 and 18 September 2026. For more information about the 21st ECTEL conference organized by EATEL and the EduRobotX 2026 workshop, see: https://ea-tel.eu/ectel2026/workshops and proceed to workshop #11.
The EduRobotX 2026 workshop explores the intersection of educational robots, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on how intelligent embodied systems can enhance teaching and learning across K–12, higher education, and lifelong learning contexts. Bringing together researchers, educators, and practitioners, the workshop will examine adaptive, collaborative, and experiential learning opportunities enabled by AI-enhanced robotics, while addressing related pedagogical, ethical, and design challenges. Through expert presentations, best practices, demonstrations, co-design activities, and collaborative discussions, participants will contribute to the development of interdisciplinary educational robotics applications and a shared scientific research agenda. Expected outcomes include a collaborative publication, future research collaborations, and a framework to guide empirical studies and responsible AI integration in educational robotics. Participants are required to submit an extended abstract showcasing best practice(s).
