“Strengthening Agro-maritime in the 21st Century with Multidisciplinary Collaboration”

Welcome to The 3rd International Conference on Applied Science (ICAS) 2023

The world faces major challenges to supply food and biomass in a sustainable manner under increasing pressures in the 21st century such as climate change, environmental degradation and population dynamics. In addition, Covid19 serves as a reminder that the world needs to be better prepared for the next difficult conditions such as those currently occurring. This is a condition of security instability in Europe due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict which has an impact on food and energy supplies. Facing this challenge, transformative changes and unprecedented innovations are needed as an integrated strategy for sustainable food and biomass systems, one of which is in the agro-maritime sector. The scope of agro-maritime includes the development, improvement of quality and quantity of production and marketing facilities in agricultural and marine systems widely.

College of Vocational Studies IPB University as part of the vocational college carries out the Agro-Maritime transformation according to IPB's roadmap. One of the ways to accelerate this agro-maritime transformation is by encouraging multidisciplinary collaboration as a strategy to face global challenges that are happening in this century. Collaboration in various scientific fields in the agro-maritime sector can be carried out in various aspects such as research, educational projects, industry and government policies.

The 3rd ICAS 2023 will be a forum for exchanging ideas and the latest developments from various scientific fields that will contribute to strengthening the Agro-Maritime sector in the 21st century. This forum will spark collaboration among participants from interdisciplinary backgrounds in Indonesia and internationally.

Submission Guidelines
