Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Prospective authors are invited to submit original papers reporting on research results or novel applications in technology-enhanced learning and web-based learning. Submissions will be handled through the dedicated EasyChair page.
- Submitted papers have to be in pdf format, and according to the Springer LNCS Authors Guidelines. Formats for the submissions are either Full Paper (10-12 pages) or Short Paper (6-8 pages).
- Submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least two competent reviewers. The Technical Program Committee of ICWL will manage the review process and will accept submitted papers either as Full Paper, Short Paper, or Poster Paper (having a maximum of 4 pages).
- All accepted papers presented at the conference will be published in a volume of Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS).
- Authors should consult Springer’s authors’ guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation of their papers. Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers.
- Authors with the best papers will be invited to prepare and submit extended versions to be considered, after a new peer review, for publication in several special issues of the following scientific journals. Some of them are mainly linked to specific tracks (as it is described on each track page), others have a more transversal scope and papers from all tracks may be invited: Education in the Knowledge Society (EKS), Revista Iberoamericana de Tecnologias del Aprendizaje – IEEE RITA, Campus Virtuales, Special Issue “Sustainability in Educational Gamification” in Sustainability, among others indexed journals.
