Language in Society
The Graduate Students of Language at Temple (GSOLT) are accepting proposals for our Language, Linguistics, and Life Conference. This student-run conference is a forum for graduate and undergraduate students to present their research in a supportive environment conducive to professional and scholarly development. We seek proposals for 15-minute oral paper presentations from graduate students, and posters from graduate and undergraduate students. We encourage presentations in English, Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages.
The theme for this year explores language use across various social and educational contexts. As an interdisciplinary organization, we will consider any language-related topics, which may include, but are not limited to the following areas:
Linguistics |
Literature & Cultural Studies |

Please submit a 250 to 300-word abstract here by Monday, January 20, 2025. Abstracts should be written in English and include a connection to the conference theme. Please specify any technology needs beyond PowerPoint and whether you prefer to present in person or virtually. For conference-related inquiries, contact the GSOLT Conference Committee (gsoltconferenceplanningcommittee@tuprd.onmicrosoft.com).
