Conference Theme: Humanising and Innovative Teaching and Learning
Nelson Mandela University proudly announces the 53rd Annual Conference of the Southern African Computer Lecturers' Association (SACLA). This in-person conference serves as a distinguished platform for the exchange of original research and practical experiences, fostering dialogue on the teaching and learning of Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology and related disciplines.
SACLA 2024 focuses on Humanising and Innovative Teaching and Learning of Computer Science (CS), Information Systems (IS), and Information Technology (IT) education. We invite practitioners, industry representatives and academia to contribute to this transformative discourse. The conference programme will include research paper sessions, plenary keynote addresses, panels and workshops. We invite submissions of full papers, research-in-progress papers and panel proposals on topics from researchers and practitioners from any country.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Selected full papers (12-16 pages) will be published by Springer in a Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) volume. Other accepted papers will be published in a locally produced, DHET subsidy-bearing volume. Work-in-Progress papers will be published in a WiP Conference Compilation. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers (maximum of 16 pages) that report on completed CS/IS/IT education related research, inclusive of results.
- Work-in-Progress (maximum of 8 pages) that report on research-in-progress with significant intermediate results.
- Workshop and Panel proposals (maximum of 3 pages) that cover the conference theme.
