The 16th SAS-CI Annual Conference at KFUPM brings the combustion community together for two high-impact days focused on Resilient Combustion Pathways for Future Energy Transition. From cutting-edge research to real-world applications, SAS – CI 2026 connects academia, industry, and government stakeholders from the Combustion community in the Kingdom, MENA region, and beyond through inspiring keynote sessions, expert panels, and engaging oral and poster presentations. Building on a legacy of 15 successful annual conferences, the 16th SAS-CI annual conference is designed to foster collaboration, accelerate innovation, and empower the next generation of combustion scientists and engineers in Saudi Arabia.
Submission Guidelines
- Authors are invited to submit a two-page extended abstract for oral or poster presentations using the official conference template. Please note that submission of a full technical paper is not required for the meeting.
- The main theme of the conference is “Resilient Combustion Pathways for Future Energy Transition”. We welcome extended abstract submissions for oral or poster presentations in areas including (but not limited to):
- Future fuels (H2 / NH3 / SAF / e-Fuels)
- Experimental and numerical combustion
- Application of ML/AI tools in combustion
- Energy transition technologies (Fire Safety, Fuel Production Pathways, Techno-Economics, and CCUS).
- The main theme of the conference is “Resilient Combustion Pathways for Future Energy Transition”. We welcome extended abstract submissions for oral or poster presentations in areas including (but not limited to):
- Deadline for Submission:
- Abstract submission opens: 12th July 2026.
- Abstract submission deadline: 26th August 2026.
- Notification of acceptance: 2nd September 2026.
- Tentative draft program release: 6th September 2026.
