Sustainable development in Indonesia constitutes a strategic agenda designed to harmonize economic growth, environmental conservation, and social well-being (Arifin et al., 2024). In this regard, sustainable development policy serves as a fundamental framework to ensure that the utilization of natural resources is conducted responsibly, without compromising the needs of future generations (Husaini et al., 2023). The fields of Civil Engineering and Urban Planning hold a pivotal role in the realization of environmentally sustainable infrastructure that is resilient to climate change and efficient in the use of energy and resources (Khan & McNally, 2023).

In the context of infrastructure development, sustainability principles have been institutionalized through the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) No. 05/PRT/M/2015 concerning Green Building Criteria (Minister of PUPR, 2015). This regulation establishes guidelines for the construction of buildings that optimize energy and water efficiency while utilizing environmentally friendly materials.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing actively promotes the adoption of Smart City and Green Infrastructure concepts, which are aligned with Presidential Regulation No. 59 of 2017 concerning the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This presidential directive emphasizes the integration of economic, social, and environmental dimensions within the planning and execution of development programs (Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia, 2017). One of the key factors supporting the success of sustainable development is the readiness of a competent human resource base. Human resources equipped with knowledge and skills in the application of technology, resource efficiency, and environmental impact mitigation are essential for the design and implementation of high-quality and sustainable projects (Alisjahbana & Murniningtyas, 2018). Therefore, capacity building and the enhancement of workforce competencies—through formal education, training, and technology transfer—are urgent needs to ensure competitiveness in the era of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

In addition to human resource readiness, the success of sustainable development also heavily depends on collaboration among various stakeholders. The pentahelix approach, which fosters synergy among government, academia, industry, civil society, and the media, serves as an effective model of cooperation to ensure that development policies are implemented optimally.

As part of the effort to accelerate technology-based sustainable development, the MANSOER WIRATMADJA SEMINAR & FTSP EXPO 2025 will serve as a significant platform for academics, practitioners, and stakeholders to share insights and the latest innovations. With the involvement of diverse sectors, this event is expected to become a strategic forum for promoting cross-sector collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the implementation of innovative technologies in sustainable development across Indonesia.

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. To facilitate the submission process and the subsequent follow up process, please consider the following guidelines, information, tips, terms, and deadlines mentioned.

Full Papers Submission

1. All authors with accepted abstracts at SMFE 2025 are invited to submit a full paper of their paper for the conference proceedings before August 29th, 2025.
2. The full papers should be written in English or Indonesian and should be prepared with the following conference templates.
3. Please ensure that your paper does not contain grammatical and language errors.
4. All third party work included in your paper should be properly acknowledged with referencing.
5. It is best to start writing your paper by entering the text into the template to make sure that all formatting is correct.
6. The information on page layout and formatting can be found in the templates.
7. The full papers should be submitted as a MS Word document in .doc or .docx format (not as a PDF format) with other supporting documents as requested in call for paper email.
