The Internet of Medical Things abbreviated as IoMT is an environment of connected wearable gadgets, sensors, medical instruments, and clinical services. It facilitates numerous healthcare solutions to minimize healthcare expenses, provide prompt medical assistance, and enhance the standards of hospital treatment. The IoMT is revolutionizing the medical sector by providing personalized and targeted treatments and by facilitating seamless communication of medical data. Security and privacy concerns that patients and medical practitioners confront are being covered in this book. The book identifies a topical subject since IoMT devices are vulnerable to cyber-attacks and a security breach there could unlock the door for cybercriminals to penetrate hospital networks. In addition to outlining viable solutions that take into account constrained resources at IoMT end-devices, hybrid network architecture, application characteristics, and communication protocols, the book covers the core concepts of IoMT security and privacy. The book describes both theoretical and practical aspects for those working in security in the IoMT, emphasizing the most significant potential IoT security issues and challenges.
