Security Summit is an event dedicated to information security, networks, and computer systems that has been captivating participants for years with content and insights on the technological evolution of the market. Born in 2009, Security Summit is recognized by the market as a reference event in the Italian landscape, thanks to the high quality of speakers and the numerous participation of an increasingly qualified audience.
Like every year, the Security Summit 2025 hosts talks from the OWASP Italy Chapter, with a session entirely dedicated to application security talks.
Submission Guidelines
Candidate speakers can submit an abstract of their proposed talk via Easychair by February 14, 2025.
The Easychair link for submission is reported below.
The abstract must be in PDF format and should contain the following information:
- Name and surname of the speaker
- Institutions and roles of the speaker therein
- Short biography of the speaker
- Title of the contribution
- Abstract of the presentation
The submission must be no longer than 2 pages overall. No additional formatting requirements are in place.
The expected duration of the proposed talks is 20 minutes.
The submission will be reviewed by the program committee and the most interesting talk proposals will be selected for the conference.
Notification of acceptance will be sent by February 21st, 2025.
List of Topics
The session is intended to appeal to application security professionals, professional software developers, software quality engineers, and computer science researchers and students. The goal of the session is to stimulate interest in application and secure software engineering practices and new initiatives within organizations.
Special topics of interest include the following:
- AppSec
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Security for mobile, cloud and serverless applications
- Blockchain and Internet of Things for security-related uses
- Penetration testing and application-level attacks
- Threat modeling, application and systems architecture
- DevSecOps
- Planning and implementation of an application security program
- Creation of a team and culture dedicated to application security (AppSec)
We encourage application security professionals, professional software developers, software quality engineers, and computer science researchers and students, to present proposals as an opportunity to share knowledge and lessons learned on relevant application and software security topics with previous experience in presenting at security conferences.
