TESConf2022 brings together academia and industry to engineering solutions supporting the lifecycle of complex and long-life assets. This CIRP-sponsored conference blends research and industrial solutions related for approaches that enable and optimise the value and the cost in-use. The topics explore design, functionality, performance, reliability and prognosis of life of engineering assets. The research streams cuts across the lifecycle with an emphasis on understanding the design and management to extend life. This year, the conference focuses on the following areas and topics:
Digitalisation in TES
- Digital transformation
- Digital twins
- AR/VR
Industrial Product Service Systems(IPSS)
- Business models
- Design for Service
- Design for Prognosis
Lifecycle Management
- Maintenance & Optimisation
- Repair Technologies
- Health monitoring
TES for Sustainability
- Life-extension approaches
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Application-tuned Materials

Paper Submission
The Organising Committee invites authors to submit extended abstracts or manuscripts with significant scientific results with a maximum of six pages. All contributions will be peer-reviewed to evaluate their merit prior to being accepted and published in an open access repository with their corresponding DOI.
Based on the reviewer's report and the presentation at the conference, the panel will make recommendations to the committee, and the top manuscript will be invited to submit an extended paper for a special issue the CIRP Journal of Manufacturing Science and Technology for publication.
Workshops
The conference will host academic and industry workshops during the conference in the areas of digital service engineering, repair technologies for advanced materials / composites, degradation assessment using non-destructive testing, diagnostics, prognostics, and health monitoring to name a few.
Session Proposals
The conference organising committee invites experts to host both academic and industry sessions within the conference area and topics. We invite you to send us a proposal (500 words max) with a title for the session, proposal for a session chair and the area they wish to conduct this session.
