Submission Guidelines
Call for Papers: XR ACADEMIA 20256th International Conference on Immersive Technology for Education and Open Science in XR(Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, and Artificial Intelligence)
We invite submissions exploring the potential of immersive technologies in education, including but not limited to the following topics:
- Public Policies in Educational Innovation and XR
- XR Climate Change & Sustainability
- XR Science & Gaming
- XR Health & Neurosciences
- XR Narratives, Art, Culture, and Social Impact
- XR Educational Start-ups
- Artificial Intelligence in Education
We accept the following types of submissions:
1. Short Papers
- Original research or review papers presenting new and previously unpublished results.
- Length: 2 to 6 pages.
- Presentation: 15-20 minutes, plus a 5-minute Q&A.
- Format: APA 7th edition (Word document).
- Video Link: Mandatory inclusion of a video link demonstrating your research or project.
2. Posters
- Short papers (1 page) reporting good practices or successful experiences from XR projects.
- Format: APA 7th edition (Word document).
- Presentation: Posters will be displayed during the poster session. A video link must be included.
3. XR Experiences from Companies
- Length: 2 to 4 pages.
- Descriptive article about an XR experience, product, or company vision.
- Format: APA 7th edition (Word document).
- Presentation: 7-minute presentation, plus a 3-minute Q&A.

Proceedings
- Accepted short articles and posters will be published in the Open Science Book 2025 under the Research or XR Experiences section.
- Publication will be in both Spanish and English, and each submission will undergo peer review.
- Important: Only articles and posters presented at the conference will be included in the proceedings.
- All conference materials will be accessible globally and without paywall, supporting the Open Science movement.
