CCSE 2023: 3rd Edition of the Conference on Cooperatives and the Solidarity Economy | 2023 Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre Boksburg, South Africa, November 1-3, 2023

CCSE 2023.:

The annual conference on cooperatives and the solidarity economy aims to contribute to thebody of knowledge on cooperatives and the solidarity economy. It brings together academicsand practitioners for the development of a robust knowledge base on the cooperative sectoron the continent. The conference will create a platform for dialogue among academics,practitioners and policymakers for the co-creation of fit-for-purpose knowledge that willadvance the cooperative agenda. 

Submission Guidelines

The third edition of the conference will cover the following and other relevant topics:

 Themes:

1. Enablers of the cooperative movement

2. Leveraging the cooperative model for socio-economic development

3. Cooperatives and the 4th Industrial Revolutions

4. Cooperatives, Climate Change, Resilience, and Inclusion

5. Cooperatives and natural resource management

We also welcome the submission of panel proposals. It is the responsibility of the person submitting the proposal to invite contributions to the panel. A panel may have up to 40 minutes. Panel proposals can be submitted on the conference website.

All submissions will be subjected to a double-blind peer review. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Selected papers will be reviewed for publication in the special edition of Studies in Cooperatives (ISBN: 978-0-620-92747-5).
