Context Sensitive Health Informatics (CSHI) 2023 is the pre-conference to MedInfo2023, the world congress on medical and health informatics. CSHI focuses on Human and Socio-technical approaches to health technology and healthcare delivery, and so attracts a large number of human factors and organisational researchers, those who work at the intersection of technology, humans and health systems.
The CSHI conference is co-organized every two years by The International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and a local partner. In 2023, the University of Sydney will act as the local partner. The event will be held over 2 days, on the 5-6 July.
Submission Guidelines
The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the pace at which innovative health technologies are designed, developed, and implemented. This acceleration raises critical questions, including: How can we ensure that we capitalise on this momentum? What are the risks and challenges and how can we overcome these? What lessons have we learned in the past few years and how can these lessons transform the implementation and sustained use of innovative health technologies? The CSHI 2023 conference encourages but does not restrict submissions on the theme "Context-sensitive health informatics and the pandemic boost: All systems go!”.
You are invited to submit a full paper - 5 pages max. (abstract 100-200 words) OR a poster abstract - 2 pages max. - on an original research or a work-in progress relevant to the theme. Accepted papers will be published in a web-only, full open access IOS Press series of “Studies in Health Technology and Informatics” and indexed in PubMed. Papers should be formatted to IOS Press requirements that are available below. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. We welcome paper submissions focussing on the theme, or socio-technical systems more broadly, in the following topics:
