Submission deadline | April 17, 2025 |
We are excited to invite submissions to the 12th European Conference on Mobile Robots (ECMR 2025). Following a successful journey from Radziejowice to Ancona, Freiburg, Mlini/Dubrovnik, Örebro, Barcelona, Lincoln, Paris, Prague, Bonn, and Coimbra, the next edition will be held in Padova. This time, we will focus on the cognitive capabilities of today's and tomorrow's mobile robots, emphasizing cognition, perception, interaction, and AI-enhanced autonomy. We welcome contributions across all areas of mobile robotics, particularly those that push the boundaries of autonomous systems and cognitive mobile robotics. The conference will follow a single-track format, ensuring visibility for all accepted papers, with a peer review process that emphasizes novelty, technical quality, significance, potential impact, and clarity. The program will include invited talks as well as oral and poster presentations of accepted papers. The three-day main conference will be preceded by a workshops and tutorials day.
Submission Guidelines
All accepted papers, whether oral or poster, will be included in IEEE Xplore. Submissions must be formatted in A4, two-column IEEE style. Papers can have six pages, including references. Up to two extra pages are allowed for a charge of 150 EUR/page.
You must use the above template and check the result via the IEEE PDF eXpress platform. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
Video Format:
- A 1-minute video (up to 10 MB) can be submitted along with the paper to supplement it. Videos are not mandatory but provide a valuable opportunity to showcase results. MPG, MPEG, or MP4 video formats can be used.
Workshops & Tutorials
Workshops and Tutorials will be held on September 2nd, 2025, prior to the main conference, to focus on key areas of active research and provide a forum for participants to share new ideas and discuss recent results.
We encourage proposals on topics of substantial community interest, emphasizing creativity, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Programs designed to foster academia-industry partnerships and advance technology transfer in robotics research are particularly welcome.
Proposals for full-day or half-day workshops and tutorials should be presented in a PDF document in the A4, two-column IEEE format (no more than 3 pages) and include the following information:
1. TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- Title
- Type and Format (indicate Workshop or Tutorial, full or half day)
- Statement of objectives (max. 600 words)
- Topics of Interest (provide a list of keywords), with explanations of their relevance.
- Previous editions (if any)
- Program (provide a tentative program in table format)
2. ORGANIZERS AND SPEAKERS
- Main organizer (one person only, complete name, address/affiliation, phone, and email)
- Co-organizers (complete name, address/affiliation, and email, for each co-organizer)
- A brief summary of the organizers’ background and experience that make them well-suited for organizing the event
- List of confirmed invited speakers (if any) and topics (format: name, affiliation, tentative keynote title)
3. LOGISTICS
- Expected audience (provide the intended audience and an estimate of the expected number of participants)
- If posters will be presented, provide an estimate of the number. Note that the conference may limit the number of posters based on space availability.
- Any special space or equipment requirement.
Proposals should be submitted through EasyChair no later than April 24th, 2025. Workshops and Tutorials acceptance will be notified on May 5th, 2025.
Please submit your proposal using the Workshops & Tutorials track on EasyChair!
