Overview
The First International Conference on “Transformative Effects of Emerging Technologies in the Modern World” (EmTech26) aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue among economists, policymakers, industry leaders, innovation scholars, and practitioners, exploring the intersections of cutting-edge technologies, geoeconomics, and geopolitics. The rapid advancement of emerging technologies — including artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, advanced robotics, biotechnology, quantum computing, and space technologies – is fundamentally reshaping economies, societies, and governance structures worldwide. This conference examines these transformations through an explicitly socio-economic and policy-oriented lens at the micro-, macro-, and meso levels. It is oriented on economic systems rather than technical or engineering solutions.
By focusing on contextual, institutional, and territorial dimensions of technological change, the conference seeks to advance understanding of how new technological trajectories can promote development in the 21st century.
