GIS LATAM 2026 (7th International Conference on Geographic Information Systems in Latin America) is an international forum dedicated to advancing Geographic Information Science (GIScience), Spatial Data Science, Geospatial Artificial Intelligence (GeoAI), and emerging geospatial technologies. The conference brings together researchers, professionals, and practitioners from academia, industry, and government to discuss recent developments and applications in GIS and related fields.
GIS LATAM 2026 will be held in a hybrid format (in-person and virtual) from October 5–9, 2026, at Tecnológico de Monterrey, State of Mexico Campus, Mexico. Proceedings will be published by Springer in the Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series and indexed in Scopus.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome.
Full papers describing
- Original research contributions in GIScience and related areas.
- Novel methodologies, algorithms, frameworks, and applications.
- Theoretical, methodological, and applied advances.
Posters describing
- Work in progress.
- Preliminary results and innovative ideas.
