Many researchers utilize AI techniques for software engineering problems. Meanwhile, young researchers often focus on development of AI techniques and utilization of advanced ones, rather than focusing on the problems of software engineering.
The ISE2022 workshop aims to discuss new ideas with intelligent methods for solving software engineering problems and the effectiveness of the proposed ideas. Through the discussion, we intend to understand the impact of a specified problem and appropriateness of the proposed idea to the problem.
To this end, we discuss the problems that can be solved in an intelligent way for software engineering, the difficulties encountered in the currently developed AI systems, and the new ideas and expected effects on those problems and difficulties. Through the presentation and discussion, we weigh up the effect of the new ideas for solving specific software engineering problems.
In the workshop, the participants will have an opportunity to explore the future directions for intelligent software engineering.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Intelligent systems for software engineering
- Theories and research directions for intelligent software engineering
- Artificial intelligence for requirement engineering
- Artificial intelligence for design
- Artificial intelligence for implementation
- Artificial intelligence for code generation
- Artificial intelligence for code example generation
- Artificial intelligence for testing
- Artificial intelligence for code changes
- Artificial intelligence for artifact changes
- Artificial intelligence for documentation changes
- CI, DevOps and MLOps for intelligent software systems
- AI-based systems such as autonomous driving
Submission Guidelines
All submissions must be in English and must come in A4 paper size PDF format and conform, at time of submission, to the IEEE Conference Proceedings Formatting Guidelines (title in 24pt font and full text in 10pt font, LaTeX users must use \documentclass[10pt,conference]{IEEEtran} without including the compsoc or compsocconf option).
Submitted papers must have been neither previously accepted for publication nor concurrently submitted for review in another journal, book, conference, or workshop.
Submitted papers will be reviewed by the workshop committee members with respect to the overall quality including presentation, the future impact of the research, and the likely benefit to the students, academics, and professionals who will attend the workshop.
The organizers reserve the right to reject submissions (without reviews) that are not in compliance or out of scope for the workshop submissions and exceed the page limit. Information related to the workshop registration can be found on ASPEC 2022 Registration Page.
The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers should have maximum of 5 pages, including figures, references, and appendices.
- Position paper should have maximum of 2 pages, including figures and references.
