The PED 2025 conference aims to offer interdisciplinary forum to present and discuss the latest research, results, ideas, developments, and applications in all areas of pedestrian and evacuation dynamics, including engineering, psychology, sociology, computer science, and applied physics or mathematics.

Submission Guidelines

The contributions for oral or poster presentations will be selected based on the scientific soundness of submitted extended abstracts.

Deadline for extended abstract (up to two pages) submission is 28 February 2025. Use extended abstract template to write the abstract.

All conference contributors will be invited to submit full papers to conference proceeding after the conference.

List of Topics

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to, various topics related to pedestrian dynamics:

• experiments and data acquisition,

• statistical evaluation and fundamental aspects of pedestrian flow,

• fire safety and safety aspects,

• psychological and behavioral aspects,

• model development, calibration and validation,

• simulation studies,

• applications and crowd management,

• machine learning, computer vision, and VR research in pedestrian dynamics.

Publication

PED 2025 proceedings will be published by Acta Polytechnica CTU Proceedings (indexed in Scopus, to be submitten for indexation in WOS).

Deadline for full paper submission is October 2025 (after the conference). 

Venue

The PED 2025 conference will take place in Prague, Czechia on 9-12 September 2025.
