To this effect a structured questionnaire was conducted throughout conference calls to seven students from UTN.BA. These students are currently studying or already approved Computer Science, which is a first year subject. This research is relevant for industrial engineering´s discipline since strategy developement is fundamental to generic and specific professional competences defined by the new Standard Proposal of CONFEDI. The main findings are that some difficulties respond to lack of value place on strategy development before programming. Its benefit is comprenhended through considerable practice.
