Home Industry Oriented Religious Offering Stuffs for Basic School Students

Abstract

This workshop and mentoring programme, held for elementary students of SD Negeri 4 Panji Anom in the distric of Sukasada, Buleleng, deals with home-made religious offering stuffs, such as “tamiang” and “tumpeng penek”. It has the objective to increase the participants’s entrepreneurial skills and to enable them to self-fulfill the needs of offering stuffs. This workshop is conducted because of the fact that the availability of resources of local agricultural products is abundance. Such raw materials are left untouched without being given added value. Additionally, in this Covid-19 pandemic, elementary students are unable to use their spare time for positive purposes. The result of the workshop and mentoring programme show that the participants are able to change the raw materials in a form of agricultural product into interestingly-packaged religious offering stuffs in forms of “tamiang” and “tumpeng penek”. These potential young future entrepreneurs bring hope to create future home-industry by utilisng local raw materials.
