The integration of these innovations is challenging due to internal and external barriers, such as budget constraints, employee resistance, technical skills gaps, and traditional organizational culture. The primary objective of the study is to analyze the barriers that companies face during the deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies and how these barriers impact the expected outcomes. It uses secondary data from a survey conducted by the Confederation of National Industry (CNI) with 1,691 companies to establish a connection between these barriers and the Brazilian industrial landscape.
