This study aims to assess public opinion regarding compact urban development and its relationship to COVID-19 risk awareness. Through a mixed-methods approach combining surveys and qualitative interviews, we explore public attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors towards compact urban development in the context of the pandemic. Additionally, we examine the extent to which individuals' awareness of COVID-19 risks influences their preferences for urban living environments. Our findings shed light on the complex interplay between urban form, public health concerns, and societal attitudes, offering insights that can inform future urban planning strategies and public health interventions.
