These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass spectrometry, FTIR, electronic spectral studies, TGA techniques. The stoichiometry of the complex has been found to be 1: 3 (metal: ligand). The antimicrobial activities of the complexes have been studied by screening the compounds against the bacteria Bacillus subtilis, Salmonella typhii A, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus and also results have been compared with standard drugs streptomycin and ampicilin Keyphrases: Kynurenic acid, Metal complexes, Physico chemical study, antibacterial activity
