In this report, we examine the dominant malaria parasite species found in a given region. Plasmodium falciparum is the most prevalent and deadly malaria parasite, primarily concentrated in sub-Saharan Africa. This species causes the most severe form of the disease and is a major concern due to the rise of antimalarial drug resistance. Plasmodium vivax is the second most common malaria parasite globally, with the ability to cause relapsing infections and remain dormant in the liver.
