Case Study in Development.EasyChair Preprint 273013 pages•Date: February 21, 2020AbstractThis article refers to some of the main theoretical results achieved in Cuba, in the field of research concerning the "Durability of reinforced concrete structures", as well as the state of their practical implementation. Data obtained from concretes placed in Havana works are presented, in the period 2015-18, where technical-commercial litigation originated, associated with the final quality achieved by this material, showing the range of the identified deviations, regarding the qualities already agreed to the applicable current regulations. According to an analysis based on the PDCA cycle, for continuous improvement (Deming cycle) and according to the results presented, the directions in which improvement should continue are indicated, to achieve the qualitative and quantitative leap that is intended in the subject analyzed and thus contribute to achieve in the country, the expected standards of sustainable development.
