The structure is computed using the first-order shear deformation theory coupled with the four-node and two-node quadrilateral elements. The accuracy of the method is evaluated by validating the obtained numerical results against reference solutions available in the literature. In addition, the effect of certain geometrical parameters, materials, and elastic foundations on the static bending response of the plate is also researched.
