In the present study, the flame propagation, spatial temperature variations with time, and criteria for self-extinction of a Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) block subjected to fire are predicted using the "Unified ignition Devolatilization" (UID) model. The effects of incident heat flux, oxygen concentration on flame propagation, and self-extinction were studied. The mass loss rate (MLR) for different operating conditions were predicted and validated with the experiments done at controlled atmospheres. The model is shown to predict the overall behavior accurately with the predictions of MLR close to the experimental values. Keyphrases: Timber, devolatilization, flame propagation, model, self-extinction
